Pupils and students who choose to take part in the competition must write an essay in English. The works by students of 8-11 grades and 1-3 year students of universities are supposed to be on topics:
1. The Epoch of Boris Godunov in History and Culture. Boris Godunov and the European Court Culture
2. The International Relations of Russia in the Epoch of Boris Godunov
3. Boris Godunov in the World Culture: the Art, Music and Literature
During the preparation for writing the essay students are encouraged to visit the exhibition "Boris Godunov from the servant to the Emperor" in the Moscow Kremlin Museum October 16, 2015 - January 31, 2016
The exhibition is devoted to one of the leading figures in Russian history - Boris Godunov, outstanding person with surprising and tragic fate, whose way of life has long attracted historians and writers. The image of this ruler was captured in numerous works of art and culture, music and drama.
The exposition covers the main milestones of the life path of Boris Fedorovich, the stages of his government activities, the most important aspects of his foreign policy and the rich cultural heritage of Godunov's epoch.
The exhibition is open until January 31, 2016
The main prize of the contest is training at one of the best language schools, books from Oxford University Press and gifts from the Moscow Kremlin Museums.
